Aerin Lauder Ikat Jasmine EDP For Women Review - The Modern Woman's Perfume
Aerin Lauder is a perfume house that specializes in high-end perfumes like this one from their line called 'Ikat'. They create scents that have an exotic quality about them; they smell different than what most people may be used to wearing.
What Does Aerin Lauder Ikat Jasmine Smell Like
The top notes is built around jasmine sambac and jasmine Egypt infusion, enriched with exotic tuberose fleur, honeysuckle, tuberose infusion, and sandalwood. Its outer carton was inspired by the blue and white floral wallpaper in Lauder’s childhood bedroom. As you might expect from the name of the fragrance, the top notes were created by using the flower named after her grandmother – the jasmine.
All flowers are blended together in a way that allows the individual scents to come forward. There is no doubt that the opening of this fragrance is incredibly beautiful; however, the lasting power is lacking. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though because this means you won't have to worry about it going stale too quickly.
Projection
This fragrance doesn't seem to have much projection at all. When sprayed on the skin it lasts for only 1 hour before it starts to fade away. That being said, the dry down is quite nice. It leaves a sweet and light floral aroma on the skin. It lingers for almost 12 hours.
So, this fragrance is perfect if you're someone who wants a subtle scent. The projection of this perfume is just right for me personally. If you don't like to overpower people with your scent then this is probably a good choice. Even though the projection isn't great, it is still long-lasting.
When To Wear Aerin Lauder Ikat Jasmine
If you want a fragrance that is subtle yet elegant and sophisticated then this is definitely a good choice. Also, it pairs really well with a simple outfit such as jeans and a white blouse or maybe even a dress and heels.
This scent is suitable for both day or night use. However, since its projection isn't great; you should probably avoid wearing it out during the daytime unless you plan on being outside for awhile. In my opinion, this fragrance seems to be better suited for evening wear than morning wear.
