Frederick Malle is known for his classically inspired perfumes like Antaeus and Nuit de Noel. They are some of the most expensive scents out there; however, they are worth every penny because they smell amazing.
What Does Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady Limited Edition Smell Like
When you first spray this fragrance it hits you with notes of rose, peach, violet, lily of the valley and jasmine. This fragrance is sweet yet elegant. It has a romantic vibe to it that reminds me of walking through a flower garden in springtime.
The dry down of this perfume lasts long on the skin. This is one of the few scents where you will notice the dry down. This is why it is perfect for special occasions. This is definitely one of my favorite scents from Frederic Malle.
Projection
This perfume has medium projection. When applied lightly it will last 4 to 6 hours on the skin before fading away. Spray more heavily and it could last up to 12 hours depending on how often you reapply it.
This is just right for daytime wear; however, if you have an important evening event coming up like dinner or a date you should apply this sparingly because it might come off too strong. In short, it is perfect for day and night use.
