Jo Malone Wild Bluebell For Women Review - The Wild Forest Bluebell Fragrance
The Jo Malone Wild Bluebell For Women perfume is a wonderful scent that is perfect for wearing throughout the day; however, it may have been better suited to being called a body splash.
This product contains a lot of alcohol, and although it doesn't smell like vodka straight from the freezer, it does leave behind some pretty strong notes of that flavor. If you are going to use it all over your body, try doing it in the morning before showering to save yourself from getting sticky later on.
What Does Jo Malone Wild Bluebell Smell Like
The notes of this scent include lavender, bergamot, pink pepper, vetiver, oak moss, musk and sandalwood. When you first spray this onto your skin, you are greeted with sweet aromas of the aforementioned ingredients.
However, after only a few minutes the scent becomes much more woodsy than floral; it reminds me of walking through the forest with my grandma while she told me stories about how we came to live here.
As time goes on, the scent fades into something like a combination of rosemary and sage—not necessarily unpleasant, just unexpected. After several hours the scent seems to settle down to a sort of earthy sweetness that could almost pass for chocolate chip cookies.
Projection
As far as projection goes, the bottle's label claims that this scent will last up to 16 hours, but that isn't true. After three hours (which is probably closer to the actual maximum) the scent begins to fade, but it never really disappears completely.
Instead of fading away entirely, the scent simply changes to a very subtle woody aroma; it's difficult to describe exactly what it smells like, but it definitely doesn't seem quite as pleasant.
If you were to walk outside with this on right now and then come back in five hours to take another whiff, the scent might still linger faintly—but it certainly won't be anything close to the same thing that was hanging around in your bedroom earlier today. However, don't worry: even though the scent is less intense after five hours, it hasn't faded completely yet.
When To Wear Jo Malone Wild Bluebell
This fragrance is best used throughout the day; however, it is also perfectly acceptable to wear it before bedtime if you want to get a little bit of that fresh-cut grass feeling in the morning without having to step outdoors or shower.
If you're trying to find a good perfume for someone who wants to smell like flowers but doesn't particularly care for the typical rose or gardenia scents, this one is absolutely perfect. Plus, it's extremely reasonably priced.
