Paco Rabanne Invictus Victory EDP For Men Review - The Scent of Victory with Fierce Freshness
This review is about one of the most popular fragrances from Paco Rabanne; the Invictus line. In particular we're focusing on the men's version of this cologne. This is because they have done an exceptional job capturing the essence of victory—the smell of success and power. They've captured something very primal here that is extremely masculine and powerful.
What Does Paco Rabanne Invictus Victory EDP For Men Smell Like
The tops notes are Pink Pepper and Lemon; middle notes are Lavender and Olibanum; base notes are Vanilla, Tonka Bean, and Amber. This perfume opens with a blast of pink pepper that lingers like a cloud over your head. As the fragrance starts to settle down you notice the light lemon note along with some lavender coming through as well.
At this point the fragrance settles into a more mellowed-out feel where you can really start to appreciate the vanilla and tonka bean notes. The amber comes across as a sweet musk that adds a little bit of sexiness to the whole thing while the olibanum works
Projection
The projection of this cologne is average; it will last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours before fading away completely. However, the scent doesn't dissipate all that quickly, instead leaving behind a nice warm aroma that stays with you throughout the day—a perfect scent for work or school.
Even though the projection isn't too impressive, the longevity certainly helps this cologne stand out from the crowd. There aren't many scents available today that could match up to the long-lasting nature of this cologne.
When To Wear Paco Rabanne Invictus Victory EDP For Men
This cologne is definitely best suited for nights out on the town; however, it can still be worn to work or school if you don't mind getting a few stares from your co-workers/classmates.
If you're going out for the evening try applying this just prior to heading out the door; if you plan to use it later in the night (i.e., after you've already left) consider spraying it on your shirt or jacket so that you'll always have a lingering scent with you wherever you go.
Also keep in mind that since this cologne is quite powerful, you may want to dilute it with another fragrance before spraying it on your skin—just make sure you choose one that won't conflict with the overall tone of the fragrance.
